The 3rd Open is a FAI competition Category 2, which punctuates for the World Ranking of FAI pilots. Take-offs along the line of the Serra do Reboredo (Reboredo mountain range), Lapinha and Carvalhal.

Simultaneous with the 3rd Paragliding International Open of the Superior Douro, the Paragliding Portuguese Championship takes place and it will attribute the Male, Female and Youths National Champion titles.

Take part in this unique sports event, paragliding for everyone, the best competitors, amateurs and beginners in this competition, and a huge crowd of hospitable people, ready to provide the best welcome for those who visit us. Torre de Moncorvo thanks all free flying lovers.

In 2004 we intend to reinforce the ties with all those who have already visited us, who have met us, who have had the pleasure of being dazzled by the Superior Douro landscape for the first time, or who have “reached the goal” for the first time and are thinking of repeating that feat again.

The Portuguese Championship is a reality resulting from the recognition of our organising ability. This year we want to be better, more prepared but always with the same motivation that comes from your permanent interest in free flying. We want to repeat the 2003 success and always improve ourselves, in order to transform free flying in Torre de Moncorvo into a tradition and a synonym for quality.
